Since the covid-19 pandemic, all sports activities have been stopped to prevent human infection. This led to the implementation of a nationwide movement control order which in turn affected sports activities.
UDA Rugby also suffered a covid-19 pandemic with the cancellation of a club-sponsored tournament, the UDA7s under 16 which was due on March 28 & 29, had to be postponed.
There were at least 3 tournaments that were supposed to belong to the club but were canceled due to the covid-19 pandemic. Among the tournaments in question is the Sdaha Touch Girls which is due March 28, 2020.
Ravage Blackpink also missed the opportunity to participate in the NRDP 7s Championship at Semesti Perak on April 4-5, 2020 for Xrugby7s participation.
The boys of ravage miss the chance to enter the JB 7s tournament on April 11-12, 2020 in Dataran Johor Bahru.
Indeed, the impact of canceling all tournaments due to the covid-19 pandemic will disrupt programs that have been set up to assess the level of competency of players throughout training. Prolonged activity delays also disrupt the club’s long-term plans in the pursuit of club funding.
This also has a long-term impact on players, especially those new to the team, especially those under the age of 13 who have not been able to participate in any friendly matches, and coaches have not been able to assess the level of mastery of rugby.
Hopefully this test will return to normal, so that everyone can return to normal life.
